What we do with what you tell us.

Who runs this site

Mental Bound — a digital engineering company based in Athens, Greece. For any privacy question, write to info@mentalbound.com. We answer personally, usually within one working day.

What we collect

Only what you give us. We do not run fingerprinting or advertising trackers on this site; analytics runs only if you opt in.

• Contact form. Name, email, and the message body. Optionally: company, role, project stage, budget, and timeline if you choose to share them.
• Project planner. Your answers to the planner steps plus name, email, and (optionally) company and phone number.
• Voice / chat assistant. The transcript of your conversation while it is active. If you ask the assistant to fill the contact or planner form, the same fields above are sent.
• Analytics (optional). If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics records pages visited, referrer, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP. Nothing is collected if you decline.
• Server logs and rate limiting. Standard request logs (IP, user agent, path, timestamp) kept by our hosting provider for security and debugging. We also use your IP in memory for short windows (60–300 seconds) to rate-limit our API endpoints against abuse — the IP is never stored to disk and never joined to anything else.

Why we collect it

• To reply to you. The contact form and planner exist so we can answer.
• To deliver work. If we move into a project together, we keep what you sent so we can scope and follow up.
• To improve the site. Server logs help us catch errors and abuse; opt-in analytics shows us which pages actually help visitors.

Where the data goes

We use a small number of vetted processors. None of them sell your data.

• Resend delivers contact and planner emails to our inbox.
• Vercel hosts the site and stores request logs.
• OpenAI transcribes your speech (Whisper) when you use the voice assistant. Audio is sent for transcription only and is not retained for model training under our API configuration.
• Anthropic powers the assistant's responses and the project planner's analysis.
• Google provides analytics (Google Analytics 4) — only after you accept the cookie banner. Ads features are disabled; the data counts visits, it doesn't build advertising profiles.

Data sent to these providers is processed under their data-processing agreements. They do not retain your conversation content for model training in the configurations we use.

How long we keep it

Form submissions stay in our inbox until they are no longer useful — usually one to three years for active leads, then deleted. Server logs roll off after 30 days. Voice and chat transcripts are not stored on our servers; they live in your browser session and are gone when you close the tab.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Send the request to info@mentalbound.com; we respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Cookies

We set one functional cookie for theme (light/dark) and one for language preference — those need no consent. Analytics is different: only if you accept the banner, we set Google Analytics cookies to see which pages actually help visitors. Decline and nothing is set — the site works exactly the same. You can change your choice anytime via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Changes to this page

If we change anything material here we update the date at the top. Substantive changes will be flagged on the home page for at least two weeks.
