Founder & Engineer at Mental Bound · agentic AI systems
George Tsimpilis is the founder and lead engineer of Mental Bound — a digital engineering studio he started in Athens. His work focuses on production AI systems: agentic automation, RAG pipelines, document intelligence, and embedded AI features.
Trained in Computer Science, George has spent over a decade designing and shipping full-stack software — from cloud infrastructure and data platforms to intelligent web applications. Since 2023 his focus has been agentic engineering: systems that don't just respond, but reason, plan, and act inside production workflows.
He writes and edits the Mental Bound Signals page and glossary personally, with research support from Anthropic Claude. Topics range from open-source AI infrastructure to commentary on the people and companies shaping modern AI.
